Quite a while ago I created a canvas picture, but as it was a birthday present for my friend I couldn’t blog about it until I gave it to her!
I learned the techniques in a mixed media work shop with Natalie from ARTability. You can read about the workshop in my blog “Canvas Art Project“.
This time I didn’t finish the canvas all in one day, I kept working on it for multiple days. I really enjoyed getting my hands dirty.
The background is from multiple layers of various colors, stamping, gesso and to add more texture I included a piece of fabric. The main feature is the big dimensional heart. I also added a little saying on the right and accentuated it with the letter F for Friend.
