I completely forgot to blog about my paper lanterns I created some weeks ago!
I saw them in a craft book, so I gave it a go. First I created a beta type from scrap paper, as I struggled with the instructions. Once I had worked it out I used some nice patterned flowery paper in pastel colors. Basically there are two layers of paper with stripes cut wrapped and glued around a paper cylinder. It was a bit tricky to glue the layers on while they are bulging out, but with a bit of patience it worked.
Once the lantern were done I punched two little holes on the top of each and slipped in a wire handle. I think they look quite nice. I can imagine them as decoration on a tree for a garden party.
